Lions left in shambles after losing to Barrack Eagles
The Selection
The gaffer kept his faith with the same side that featured in the league opener against FJ making just two changes with Oloore Akinbola coming in for Tobi Dahunsi and Samson Adegbite in for Sunday Emmanuel.
First 45
It was the opponent who had the first real threat early in the 6th minute when an attacker broke the offside trap and raced through on goal, rounded off Emmanuel in goal but took a heavy touch for a goal kick. Emmanuel had another save from an outside the box effort just few minutes after.
In the 18th minute, Musa Hassan would have scored a goal of the tournament contender after he spotted the goalkeeper off his line and hit a screamer from yards out which unfortunately was kept out by the crossbar.
We also had a penalty shout waved away by the referee in the 27th minute.
But the opponent however took the lead through an outside shot whiling was misread by Emmanuel.
Second 45
The second half was an all affair for the lions who dictated play from start to finish but just could not get a goal to show for it.
As chances after chances were either missed or kept out by the opponent’s goalkeeper to end the game with a loss.

The boys are to have the weekend off after a very busy week with activities set to resume next Monday.
