Wonderxchange FC hold FC Ebedei JNR to a goalless draw and secure semi-final spot

Wonderxchange FC played out a 0-0 draw against FC Ebedei JNR in their final Group B match of the Cool Hopefuls Cup, ensuring qualification for the semi-finals. Both sides had their moments but were unable to find a breakthrough in a tightly contested match at the FC Ebedei Stadium.

Wonderxchange FC made no changes from the team that secured a 3-0 win over Elebuibon Boyz. Imoleayo Alabi retained his spot in goal, with captain Lekan leading the defence alongside Seun, Abass, and Mathias. The midfield trio of Glory, Melody, and Oluwatobiloba started again, while Ameachi, Sikiru, and Mighty formed the attack.

First Half

The opening exchanges saw both teams approach the game cautiously, with FC Ebedei JNR and Wonderxchange FC maintaining a solid defensive shape. There was little to separate the teams, but the best chance of the half fell to Divine Morris of FC Ebedei JNR, whose fierce strike in the 42nd minute was brilliantly saved by Imoleayo Alabi, forcing a corner.

Second Half

Both teams emerged with greater attacking intent in the second half, but the match continued in the same balanced manner. Star players Usman Yusuf of FC Ebedei JNR and Mighty Aderibigbe of Wonderxchange FC were kept quiet for most of the game. Despite late pressure from both sides, neither team could find the decisive goal, and the match ended in a goalless stalemate.
