The Lions survived late scares and held on to earn a well deserved victory as fine form continues!!

The boys continue their fine form and remain unbeaten this year as they head into the Nationwide league action this weekend in high spirit.
After a much changed line-up from yesterday’s game with OJO OLUWASEUN, EMEKA OKORIE and UCHEIBE PRINCE the only players who retained their status in the starting lineup, the host started on the front foot by dictating play in the early stages and went on to hit the crossbar from an outside shot.
We gradually settled into the game and went ahead in the 15th minute when OJO OLUWASEUN sent a long ball forward from defense with UCHEIBE PRINCE getting to the ball before the gk and sets up CHINEDU OKORIE who tucks the ball into an empty net.
The host kept pressing for an equalizer later in the second half but our defense line was up to the task and nullified all the attacking threats posed by the opponent.

With the last game of the friendly matches lined up in preparation for the nationwide league campaign being played today, all attention now shifts to the Nationwide League action proper kicking off on Sunday,22nd May 2022. The team will be making the trip from our base in Akure on Saturday to Ejigbo,Osun state which is our zone for the league campaign with the promotion ticket the main goal for the team.
