Lions Roar Past Reignz FC with Commanding 3–1 Victory
SELECTION
Head coach James Aiyeyemi made several bold decisions to freshen up the lineup after the goalless draw against Ekiti United. Imoleayo kept his spot between the sticks, with Omolade, Abass, Sunday, and returning skipper Lekan forming the defensive line. In midfield, Oluwatobiloba partnered with Melody, while Amuda and Glory offered width from the flanks. Up top, Odunayo started just behind striker Mighty, who retained his place. The bench included options like Temitope, Seun, Chimobi, Dotun, Damilola, Madu, and Afolabi.

Fast Start from the Lions
The match burst into life just four minutes in. A pinpoint corner from Omolade was met by captain Lekan, whose powerful header gave Wonderxchange an early 1-0 lead. The Lions continued to assert dominance, creating wave after wave of pressure.

Double Advantage
Wonderxchange continued to push forward with intent. In the 15th minute, Glory Obiogba grabbed his second league goal of the season, slotting in confidently after being picked out by Odunayo Ogunsuyi with a clever assist. The Lions looked fully in control and could’ve added more, but missed chances allowed Reignz FC a way back.

Reignz Strike Back
Despite the momentum, Reignz FC clawed one back against the run of play in the 39th minute. Before the goal, Imoleayo Alabi made a string of sharp saves to keep the visitors at bay but was eventually beaten by a close-range effort. The half ended 2–1 in favor of the Lions.

Odunayo Seals It
In the second half, tactical tweaks from Coach Aiyeyemi saw Damilola introduced, bringing added energy to the right flank. The decisive moment came in the 75th minute when Damilola smartly restarted play after being fouled, catching the opposition off-guard. The quick-thinking move saw Odunayo race through and calmly finish, restoring the Lions’ two-goal cushion.

Final Result
It was a well-earned 3-1 win for Wonderxchange FC, who now sit on 7 points from 4 matches in their debut Nationwide League One campaign. With momentum building, all eyes now turn to the next challenge, a showdown with Emalex FC on Wednesday.
