Worrisome July; Another defeat to the KCEE Boys add to the woes of poor run of results in July
The selection

Otaki Tope who has had a mixed of performances in recent games continued to get the nod in goal with Yakubu Emmanuel still recuperating from a back injury, with a number of injuries forcing some familiar faces to sit the fixture out, skipper Ajeyomi Lekan was replaced with Ucheibe Prince who despite having his role recently changed put in a very convincing display in defence rather than his usual attacking role partnered by Emmanuel Sunday who kept up with his good run of form in defence and Ojo Seun to complete a back three.

Emmanuel Segun started in defensive midfield, Terdoo Melody in attacking midfield flanked by Akinbola Oloore who has been having flashes of brilliant displays lately in training. Ilesanmi Fisayo was called back into the starting XI at left wingback for the first time since his free kick goal against Saint FC last month, Micheal Akpovie at right wingback with the duo of Dahunsi Tobi and Chinedu Okorie upfront.

In the 19th minute Terdoo Melody sent Akpovie Micheal through on goal but the goalkeeper kept out his effort for a corner kick. Dahunsi Tobi however found the back of the net in the 25th minute only for the assistant referee to raise the flag for offside much to the disbelief of the technical stand who were already celebrating a goal.

Second half

The opponent were gifted a controversial penalty just four minutes after the restart with Ilesanmi Tunde converting from the spot to gift the Kcee boys the lead. The attacker doubled his team’s lead in the 60th minute smashing the ball home after a scramble in the box.
