SPOILS SHARED AGAIN AS LIONS MAKE IT TWO POINTS FROM TWO GAMES

Wonderxchange FC and Teworh SC played out a thrilling 1-1 draw at the Kwara Football Academy Pitch A, with both teams creating chances but ultimately sharing the spoils to make it two points from two games with all left to play for in final group game tomorrow.

CAUTIOUS START

The match began with both teams feeling each other out, trying to create openings. Sikiru Sule was booked for dissent in the eleventh minute, and Wonderxchange FC’s first attempt at goal came from Dotun Olafisoye, but it was too weak to beat the goalkeeper.

CAGEY AFFAIR

The game remained a cagey affair after 30 minutes, with neither side able to find a breakthrough. Tope Otaki made an important save in the 32nd minute to prevent Teworh SC from taking the lead.

BREAKTHROUGH & EQUALIZER

Teworh SC finally found a breakthrough in the 36th minute after a scramble in the box. However, Wonderxchange FC fought back, scoring an equalizer through Mighty Aderibigbe in the 42nd minute off a tidy cross from Opeyemi Babatunde.

SECOND HALF

Opeyemi Babatunde had a chance to score in the 47th minute but was clipped before he could fire a direct shot goalwards. Wonderxchange FC made three substitutions in the second half, bringing on Amaechi Sunday, Oluwatobi Michael, and Sunkanmi Adeyeye for Musa Hassan, Melody Apeichie, and Mighty Aderibigbe.

Despite late pressure from Wonderxchange FC, the match ended 1-1, with both teams earning a point.
