The Lions lineup in a 3-5-2 formation with Tope Otaki in goal, a three-man defense of Lekan Ajeyomi, Samson Adegbite, and Seun Ojo, Mathias Gowon and Omolade Ibitayo as wingbacks, Godspower Ikechukwu, Oluwaseun Michael, and Terdoo Apeichie in midfield, and Amaechi Sunday and Sunkanmi Adeyeye upfront.
Wonderxchange FC kicked off their Enit Project & Technologies Preseason Cup 2024 campaign with a 1-1 draw against Emmagency FC at the Ijapo Football Pitch yesterday.
The Lions dominated the first half, but failed to capitalize on their chances, ending the half goalless.
Second-Half Spark
Coach Olayiwola’s halftime substitutions proved pivotal, as Oluwatobi Dahunsi scored the opening goal just seven minutes after coming on in the 52nd minute. However, an error at the back allowed Emmagency FC to equalize in the 65th minute, restoring parity.
Despite pushing for a winner, Wonderxchange FC couldn’t find the decisive goal, ending the match with their fourth consecutive 1-1 result.
The draw regardless still puts Wonderxchange FC in a position to qualify from the group with two more games to play, but the team will look to build on this performance and secure a win in their next match.
