Four players have been nominated to tussle for the player of the month award for the month of August:

Ojo Oluwaseun (Wonderxchange FC)

Hassan Musa (Wonderxchange FC)

Lewey Abednego (Wonderxchange B)

Bello Olayemi (Wonderxchange B)

The nominees are believed to have been instrumental to the team’s run in August, which saw both the A and B sides play two matches each without defeat. The A side had two wins in 2 games while the B side secured a win and a draw in 2 games.

Ojo Oluwaseun: the commanding center back who was also nominated for the month of June award continued to build on his fine form in the heart of the defense. He was ever-present in both games played for his side, which saw him keep a clean sheet in the emphatic 6-0 victory over Royal Gold FC and also produced a good performance in defense in the 2-1 comeback win against Golden Jet FC.

Hassan Musa: The young and talented forward deservedly gets his name on the nomination list after a fine string of performances saw him bag two goals in both matches played this month. The young prodigy opened the scoreline when his side ran riot against Royal Gold FC. However, the highlight of his performance for the month came in the comeback victory against Golden Jet FC, in which he came off the bench to grab a late winner for his side in the 93rd minute with a well-taken goal.

Lewey Abednego: the midfielder has had a good month and has slowly worked his way into securing a starting berth in both matches played for the month and was also instrumental to his side’s 2-1 comeback victory over Victory Lions FC. He has also been crucial to the team’s training and intra-squad friendlies organized lately, which saw his B side claim an aggregate victory over the A-side for the first time this month.

Bello Olayemi: The dynamic midfielder looked to be adjusting comfortably to his new role. He pulled the strings in midfield to ensure his side enjoyed a fine turnout for the month. He has also shown his utility side as he has been made to fill different positions apart from the midfield when needed and has thrived in those areas so far.

Through a vote, the club’s management panel will later agree on decide who would be the winner of the August player of the month award.
