The nominations for the September player of the month award are in, with Olayemi Bello consecutively making the list for the second month.

Afolabi Adeyina: The vibrant and rugged defensive midfielder has been ever present for the lions in all three games played in September and made sure his side lost no games in which they won 2 and drew one, with the highlight of his performance coming from the impressive win against sunshine stars where he put in a fantastic performance in the base of the midfield setup.

Amaechi Sunday: The young forward had a fine turnout for the month with two impressive cameos off the bench to earn a start against sunshine stars, where he scored what turned out to be the match-winner against the state side.

Olayemi Bello: The midfielder has been an ever-present figure for the B-side and featured in all four games played in the month; despite his side not having the best of months as they only managed a win in 4 games, Olayemi continued to earn the trust of his coach with brilliant displays and pulled the strings in the middle of the park to earn him his second nomination in 2 consecutive months.

Opeyemi Ogundumila: The tricky attacker who is known for his fantastic dribbling skills made a return from injury and marked his return with two goals in 4 games for the B-side, with the pick of the goals coming against Morning Star FA, where he scored a brilliant free kick on the edge of the box leaving the goalkeeper rooted to a spot.

Through a vote, a decision will be made by the club’s management panel on who would be the winner of the September player of the month award.
